Funny enough, Gabby and I met on Tinder…

Well, we matched on Tinder in 2018, but I like to say we met in person. Living nearby in Atlanta, our paths probably crossed dozens of times, but we finally went on our first date and it was kismet. We went out for a few drinks at one of our favorite pubs, walked up the street for some Monday Night Comedy, and have been inseparable ever since.

In the years that followed, we moved in together, to New York City and back, bought a house, got engaged and got married in November 2022.

During our wedding planning process, Gabby and I happened to sit down to watch her parents’ wedding video from the ‘90s and it just hit me - Why can’t we have a wedding video like this?

It was so cool to see their family and friends exactly as they were that day. All the little moments of guests dancing in real time, hugging and laughing. The raw footage carried such a weight that it didn’t need slow motion or a soundtrack. It was made only for those in the video, to be watched over and over for generations, a contrast to the popular videos today tailored to be watched just for a few seconds on social media.

So I set out to make this happen for our wedding, but no one offered a home movie style wedding video. As a video producer by trade, I decided I’d have to make it myself. I brought in some trusted video creatives and walked them through my vision. They absolutely killed it.
